We had so much fun taking a family trip to Myrtle Beach. It was our first time there, and it didn't disappoint. We spent a week at the Hilton's Kingston Plantation, and it had all the right elements for a great family vacation. We stayed in a two bedroom villa, which was more than big enough for a family of five. In addition to the two bedrooms, it had a full kitchen, dining room, living room, patio, washer, dryer, and two bathrooms. There were several pools on the property, including a kids splash park with water slides and lots of spray elements. We tried to spend a little time on the beach every morning, and Ian absolutely loved it! Bea did a lot of body boarding, and the girls had fun in the waves.
^^The splash park. Ian loved going down the slide with us.
^^Our villa. There were just a few units in each building (I think 6?) and it was very quiet.
^^Ian was entertaining himself on our little porch.
^^This poolside cafe was a nice stop after some time in the pool.
^^We went to Broadway at the Beach on afternoon, and it's a really fun place! There are restaurants, shops, rides, and street vendors. We had dinner at Johnny Rockets, and we all loved the milkshakes (especially Ian)!
It was nice to have a relaxing getaway in the midst of our busy summer. We've got even more stuff coming up (Serena is taking driver's ed, Bea is heading to Wisconsin with a friend, both sets of parents are coming to visit, and we're redoing a lot of our landscaping), but we're recharged and ready to dive right in! I hope you're all having fun, busy summers!
